1If you already know Solidity and have built some projects with it, picking up Move can definitely be easier and faster for you—especially in under a month. Move and Solidity both target smart contract development, but Move has different concepts around ownership, resource management, and safety. If you're comfortable with smart contract thinking and blockchain logic, you'll just need to adjust to Move’s stricter type system and object-based model.
Move focuses more on secure asset handling by design, and it's less prone to bugs like reentrancy. You might find the transition smoother if you’ve worked with Rust, but even without it, your Solidity background will help a lot. Start with beginner-friendly docs like the Sui Move Book and try out code examples or short exercises to build confidence. You can also check out Move by Example which walks through real code patterns step by step.
If you dedicate regular time each day, you should be able to get comfortable with the basics of Move in a few weeks and start writing small dApps confidently before the month ends.
